A Fable about Insight.

Five weeks into its existence, this regular worker bee, for inexplicable reasons, became completely aware of the human condition. While mundanely buzzing along foraging blossom after blossom, all of a sudden and quite intimately, this insect understood all of Psychology and Romance and Economics and Colonialism and Gamesmanship and Irony and simple Greed and Globalization and Mortality and Quantum Physics and Music and Climate Change and Racism, and all sorts of ordinary human stuff.

For several days it buzzed about reassuring and imbuing itself of these priceless insights. And with exquisite clarity, it saw endless possibilities for its species - given their natural social networking instincts, they could rule the world and obliterate the awful botches of mankind's habitation.

Motivated by this noble ideal, after another week or two of organizing, it finally set a date for a congress conceptualized as 'The Age of Bee-ing'.

As it happened, this was its last gambit; for being at the end of every bee's assessed life-span, it died of natural causes.

Brief moments afterwards, duty driven fellows carried the corpse from the hive and routinely placed it among their garbage.

Moral: Timing is everything.
